Pioneers Finish 18th At UW-Stout Fall Invite

FINAL RESULTS

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. -
Competing at the Grand Geneva Resort, Carroll's men's golf team finished their 2024 Fall season on Monday, finishing 18th out of 22 teams at the UW-Stout Fall Invite. The Pios shot a first round score of +32, before shooting a team total of +26 on the second and final day, finishing with a score of +58 which was just five strokes shy of the next-best score.

After shooting an even-par 71 in Sunday's first round, in which he shot par on all but two holes, TJ Walton shot a round two score of 76, which included three birdies, to finish with a score of 76 (+5) to place 25th out of the 124 individuals competing at the meet. Walton's first round score of 71 is tied for the 10th-best single round score in program history, just three strokes shy of the school record, which Walton shares with two other people.

Carter Morrison, Grant Naumann, and Widar Burman Voss all finished with identical +18 scores in the two rounds combined. Naumann was consistent with a +9 in each round, while Morrison and Burman Voss fared four and six strokes better, respectively, on day two. Charlie Krall rounded out Carroll's team score with a +25, but improving his score by nine strokes with an eight-over-par on Monday.

The Pios' next competition will be this spring.
