The Carroll University men's soccer team (6-9-2, 3-4-1 CCIW) squares off this Saturday in the quarterfinal round of the 2025 CCIW Men's Soccer Championship. After finishing tied for fourth in the regular season standings, Carroll claimed the No. 5 seed and travels to face No. 4 North Park at Chicago's Holmgren Athletic Complex, with kickoff set for 5 p.m.

North Park (8-6-2, 3-4-1) edged Carroll twice during the regular season, including a 2-1 win in Waukesha on October 18. The Vikings averaged nearly 15 shots per game, ranking fifth in the league offensively, and conceded only 23 goals all year. Meanwhile, Carroll's offense produced 18 goals across 17 matches, led by senior forward Marti Solanelles, who tallied four assists and finished the year among the active scoring leaders with 25 career goals. Freshman Iskander Sharipov added seven goals, placing him fifth in conference scoring.

Defensively, the Pioneers allowed 31 goals (1.82 GAA) with three shutouts, showing resilience and strong net-minding. With  NCAA bid implications and a spot in the semifinals on the line, Carroll will look to counter North Park's balanced attack through disciplined defending, opportunistic offense, and clutch clutch finishing.

Saturday's match promises to be tight and tactical, as both squads bring comparable league records and postseason hunger to the pitch.
