Carroll University men's soccer had four standout players named to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) All-Conference Teams highlighting a strong season for the Pioneers.
Matthew Meke, a senior forward, was a driving force in Carroll's attack, consistently creating scoring opportunities and finishing in critical moments. His selection to the First Team underscores his impact as one of the league's premier offensive players.
Joining Meke on the All-CCIW list are three teammates who earned Second Team honors:
Nico Hinten,
Marti Solanelles, and
Iskander Sharipov. Hinten anchored the defense with poise and reliability, often tasked with shutting down the opposition's top attackers. Solanelles provided creativity and control in the midfield, serving as a link between defense and attack while contributing to Carroll's possession game. Sharipov added versatility and energy, making key contributions on both ends of the field and proving to be a consistent presence throughout the season.
Together, this group helped Carroll remain competitive in one of the toughest conferences in NCAA Division III soccer. Their recognition reflects not only individual excellence but also the depth and balance of the Pioneer roster.
The Pioneers will take on North Park in Chicago on Saturday at 5pm as they hope to continue their season in the CCIW Conference Tournament. Making it as a 5 seed, the Pioneers have a tough road ahead, but nothing they haven't already faced this season as they went through a gauntlet of a schedule.
