DUNDEE, Ill. - Carroll's men's golf team took part in the Judson Spring Invite on Monday, which featured 22 teams at the par-71 Randall Oaks Golf Course. The Pioneers put together a solid round, finishing in a tie for sixth place with a score of 333 (+66), which was just one stroke shy of the fifth-best score, and 12 strokes off the pace of Wisconsin Lutheran's winning score.
Leading the charge for the Pios was
Mathias Werring, who finished tied for eighth among the 125 competitors, with a score of 80 (+9).
Charlie Krall was just three strokes behind that total, in a tie for 22nd place, while
Widar Voss finished tied for 44th, shooting a 14-over-par.
Grant Naumann and
Carter Morrison rounded out Carroll's team score with a +16 and +21, respectively.
The Pioneers will be in action again on Wednesday when they'll battle St. Norbert College in a Hatchet Match. That event will take place at Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Fond du Lac, Wis.
