FINAL RESULTS
PEORIA, Ill. - Carroll's men's golf team finished the third and final day of this weekend's CCIW Championships in eighth place out of the nine competing teams. The Pioneers finished with a three-round team score of +60 at WeaverRidge GC in Peoria, Ill., which was just seven strokes shy of North Park's +53. Illinois Wesleyan won the tournament as the only team to score under-par (-17).
Carroll was led by
Widar Voss' three-day total of +12, shooting a five-over-par during Saturday's final round, which was good enough for 23rd place among the 45 competing individuals. One of the highlights of Carroll's weekend came on Saturday, when
Grant Naumann recorded the team's only eagle, accomplishing that feat on the par-five 11th hole. That helped Naumann register a third-round 76 (+4), putting him in 32nd place overall with a three-day total of +17.
Charlie Krall was third on the team, finishing in 33rd place. He followed Friday's team-best score of +1 with a three-over-par on Saturday.
Mathias Werring and
Carter Morrison rounded out the Pios' team score with a three-day score of +22 and +24, respectively.
