WAUKESHA, Wis. - Men's Tennis player Adrian Gomez and Women's Track & Field student-athlete Vanessa Uitenbroek have been named Carroll's 'Pios of the Week' for the week ending March 16, 2025.

Gomez went 4-1 in three matches in Hilton Head, S.C. during the Pioneers' Spring Break trip last week. Notably, the senior from Logrono, Spain went 1-1 in singles play, winning 6-4, 6-4 against LeTourneau and narrowly falling to Division-I Stonehill College. In doubles play, Gomez shined along with his partner Daniel Ezcurra, winning all three of their matches. 6-4 against Letourneau, 6-0 against Salve Regina, and finally a dominating performance in a 6-3 win against Stonehill to finish the week.

Uitenbroek earned her fourth consecutive All-American performance in the Shot Put at Saturday's NCAA Division-III Indoor Championships, finishing third in the event with a season-best throw of 14.75m (48-04.75). That also marked the sixth overall All-American performance for the Grad. Senior from Kaukauna, Wis.
