NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Carroll women's lacrosse earned both College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Athlete of the Week honors following a dominant 2–0 week, with Grace Tumilty named Defensive Player of the Week and Sierra Skack earning Offensive Player of the Week recognition.
Grace Tumilty – Defensive Player of the Week
Grace Tumilty, a graduate student from Willowbrook, IL, was named CCIW Defensive Player of the Week after anchoring Carroll's defensive effort in wins over Concordia Wisconsin and Saint Benedict, helping the Pioneers remain unbeaten at 8–0 on the season.
Tumilty recorded three ground balls, three caused turnovers, and two draw controls in Carroll's 21–4 win at Concordia Wisconsin, helping limit the Falcons to just 11 shots while Carroll forced 19 turnovers and controlled possession throughout the contest.
She followed with a dominant all-around performance in Carroll's 17–7 victory over Saint Benedict, finishing with 12 ground balls, eight caused turnovers, and three draw controls. Tumilty was consistently disruptive throughout the field, winning loose balls, forcing turnovers, and quickly transitioning possession to the offensive end.
Across the two games, Tumilty totaled 15 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers, and five draw controls, playing a central role in Carroll holding its opponents to a combined 11 goals. Her consistency, physicality, and impact on every defensive possession earned her conference recognition.
Sierra Skack – Offensive Player of the Week
Sierra Skack, a senior from Musekgo, WI, earned CCIW Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading Carroll's attack during a perfect week, totaling nine goals and six assists for 15 points across two victories.
Skack delivered a dominant performance in Carroll's 21–4 win at Concordia Wisconsin, scoring six goals and adding three assists while helping Carroll jump out to a commanding early lead. She played a key role in the Pioneers' offensive efficiency, contributing to nine first-quarter goals as Carroll seized control of the game.
She followed with another strong outing in Carroll's 17–7 win over Saint Benedict, posting three goals and three assists while continuing to generate scoring opportunities in both settled offense and transition. Skack's ability to finish plays, facilitate for teammates, and create matchup problems was instrumental in Carroll's balanced offensive output.
Skack's production and consistency throughout the week powered Carroll to two decisive wins and earned her conference recognition as the CCIW Offensive Player of the Week.
