As a four-year letter winner in women’s basketball from 1982 until 1986, Vanden Langenberg rewrote almost every Carroll scoring, assists and steals record. Finished her career with 2,039 points, 377 assists and 260 steals which are all school records. Along with Dusold, Amy was a key player in Carroll’s three consecutive NCAA Division III tournament qualifying teams from 1983 to 1986. She holds 12 Carroll College women’s basketball individual records. Among them are : 44 points in one game (against Elmhurst, Feb. 18, 1986); 636 points in a single season (1985-86); 110 assists in a single season (1982-83); and 72 steals in a single season (1982-83). Finished her career with an average of 18.5 points per game, including 22.7 ppg in 1985-86. Was named Chicago-Metro Conference Player of the Year in 1985 and first team all-conference all four years. Earned American Women’s Sports Federation first team All-American honors all four years. Currently is a successful sales manager at International Product Specialists.
