Carroll Athletics Highlights: Varsity letters: football (3), wrestling (4), track (4). College conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Shot-put Champ in 1968; that same year he was team captain and MVP. 1967 CCIW Heavyweight Champ, and a Heavyweight runner-up in 1965, 1966 and 1968. Team MVP in 1965 and 1967. Named Hinky Hero in 1968. Assistant varsity football coach at Oconto High School from 1969-87 and assistant varsity wrestling coach from 1968-70. From 1970-88 he was the head varsity wrestling coach. Middle school wrestling coach from 1989-2000. Varsity head track coach from 1969-80.
