Lettered four years in women’ tennis, two in track, two in women’s basketball and two years in swimming. Arps, an exceptional tennis player, was Carroll’s captain and MVP on the team all four years. She won the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin women’s tennis title in 1976 as the number one seeded singles player for the Pioneers. Placed third in 1977 and second in 1978. She finished her collegiate tennis career with 55 wins and only seven losses. As a prep, Arps won two WIAA states singles championships and was ranked number one in the state by the United States Tennis Association seven of the nine years she played. Graduated from Carroll with a 3.54 GPA as a double-major in mathematics and physical education. Taught Phy Ed and coached tennis, volleyball, basketball and swimming at West Milwaukee H.S. and then West Allis Hale before becoming a special agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which is her current occupation.
