Carroll Athletics Highlights: Competed on inaugural women’s intercollegiate teams in volleyball, basketball, track and field, swimming and cross country…volleyball four-year starter…basketball four-year starter on team undefeated for three consecutive years…held college record in 10 events of indoor and outdoor track and field…one of a few athletes who organized first women’s cross country and swimming teams at Carroll…Carroll Women’s Athlete of the Year 1975…Outstanding College Athletes of America 1975. (No letters were awarded during this era in women’s athletics at Carroll; she would have earned 14). Coach, Mt. Hood’s women’s track and field team that won National Junior College Athletic Association’s National Championships in 1981 and runner up in 1982…NJCAA Region 18 and NJCAA Women’s Track and Field Coach of the Year honors. 1982…Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Coach of the year, 1986, 1989,…NWAACC Hall of Fame inductee, 1994.
