Marni Lynn finished her Carroll athletic career as one of the most accomplished runners ever in both school and Midwest Conference history, both in sport and in the classroom. She was an NCAA Division III Academic All-American in 1999 for Track and Field/Cross Country and earned Academic All-Midwest Conference for each season of her career. Lynn set nine school records in her career, and recorded the fastest 5-kilometer cross country time in Carroll history. She was named Carroll MVP in cross country (1998 and 1999) and track and field (1999) and was named Carroll College Female Athlete of the Year in 2000. Lynn held several conference records in indoor and outdoor track and field and won 18 individual conference titles in her career. She was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Meet three times and was a nine-time National qualifier. Lynn became Carroll’s first ever NCAA Division III Track and Field National Champion when she won the 1500 m run at the Indoor National Meet in 1999. She went on to win a second National title in the 3000 m run (outdoor) and was a 3-time All-American in track and field.
