Carroll Athletics Highlights: R.J. earned eight letters in football and track and was All-conference in ’94, ’95, ’96 and All-American in ’95 and ’96. He was the football team’s MVP in 1996. He set school records in yards per catch, the most touchdown receptions in a single season, receiving-most yards, total points, total number of touchdowns, 2-point conversions, and kick-off returns. In track he was All-American in ’96 and ’97. R.J. was first All-Conference 1994-97; MVP and Conference MVP in ’96 and ’97. He was Male Athlete of the Year at Carroll for 1997. R.J. played for the Orlando Predators in 1998, until injury prevented him from continuing. He was the wide receiver coach at Carroll for the 1997 season.
