Carroll Athletics Highlights: Member of Carroll’s basketball team from 1971-1975, track and field from 1972-1975 where she helped set medley relay record, and volleyball team from 1971-1974, was captain ’73 and ’74 season.  (Varsity letters were not awarded at this time).  Was also involved in Women’s Recreation Association (WRA).  Was an integral member of the women’s athletic movement at the beginning of Title IX.  Was a driving force on campus for visibility of and equality in women’s athletics, covering the events in the school newspaper herself.  Designed and sewed the first women’s track and field uniforms.  In 1977 and 1978 she was one of top barefoot women water skiers in Wisconsin.  Coached Vermont state champion high school gymnastics team in 1986 (was runner up in 1985). Serves on the board of directors of Champlain Adapted Mounted Program – horseback riding for the handicapped.
