Carroll Athletics Highlights: Gary was a seven-letter winner in cross country and track. He served as team captain his junior and senior years and was voted MVP for two years running. He was named all-conference runner 3 times and received the McCormick Award for the most valuable runner twice for cross-country. He was a National Qualifier in cross-country and the first-ever recognized CCIW cross-country champion. Gary was one of 5 nominees for the NAIA runner of the year. He was on the all-district NAIA team and was Carroll’s top 2-miler his junior and senior years. Gary lives in Glendale and is active in coaching for the Special Olympics, Elmbrook Church’s prison ministry softball team and as a participant in the Senior Olympics. He also officiates at state high school track meets and supports Pioneer Athletics.
